What is your take on expectations? I chose a word for my year this year, and you'll learn all about it in today's episode, but expectations were connected to it. I thought I was being noble, maybe wise, perhaps, but Art Costello, today's incredible guest, just totally wrecked my lens about expectations.
We don't live any minute of any day without them; whether they're high or low, unmet or met expectations can affect our chemical makeup - causing manic episodes, depression, anxiety, PTSD, or trauma-based things that occur in our childhood.

As entrepreneurs we hear it all the time. Define your avatar - know your avatar - who is your avatar, but what does that mean? It means your perfect customer. Who is the perfect customer for your product, service, or offer?
While many subscribe to the idea that this is one person, I think it is a multi-faceted person. Just as we are all multi-faceted, so is our avatar. That is why it is important to define and then redefine as your business grows.

Today, I got to hang with one of the speakers coming to the Grow Your Business for God's Sake Conference (get your tickets!) and it was such an honor. I first met Travis Believes in person at a mastermind and I was blown away by the way that he simply shared something that was so complex to me.
Social media has so many ins and outs. What is virality? How do you get there? He has supported some of the biggest names in the industry and is someone you want to get connected to.
He talks about being who you are called to be based on the mission, but he talks more importantly about the incubation stage. So I saw this guy across the room while talking with my handsome hot hubby, and I saw his presence, his aura, but I also saw his brand and it was plastered all over his shirt. So in the middle of Podfest where we were both speaking, we had an opportunity to deeply connect and I couldn't wait to have him on the show so you could hear his story and his fire and that you too could be impacted by what his mission is in the marketplace. There are lots of us out there, and the more I open my eyes, the more God reveals. I hope that this encourages you to know that you're not alone on your mission.
